Skip strenuous exercise, steam rooms, saunas, and hot baths for 48 hours, as excessive heat can increase swelling.
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily to protect the healing skin from ultraviolet damage, and avoid direct sun exposure for at least one week.
