What Is Advanced Microneedling at Eden Skin & Laser Clinic?

At Eden Skin & Laser Clinic, we offer Rejuvapen NXT Advanced Microneedling—also known as Collagen Induction Therapy—as a highly effective medical treatment for skin rejuvenation. Microneedling is a skin rejuvenation technique that utilises a device equipped with tiny needles to create a rapid succession of punctures in the skin. This controlled injury induces collagen production and the formation of new skin cells to make a more youthful, vibrant appearance.

Studies have shown that microneedling is a valuable alternative to more invasive procedures such as laser skin resurfacing and deep chemical peeling, given its expedient post-treatment recovery, limited side effect profile, and significant clinical results.

What Does It Treat

  • Fine lines and deep-set wrinkles

  • Acne scarring and surgical scars

  • Enlarged pores and uneven skin texture

  • Sun damage and hyperpigmentation

  • Stretch marks

  • General skin laxity and loss of firmness

  • Can be used on the neck, chest, arms, legs and face

How Does It Work

At Eden Skin & Laser Clinic, Rejuvapen NXT Microneedling is based on the skin’s ability to repair itself naturally when injured. After an injury, our skin starts the process of dissolving damaged tissue and replacing it with new cells. Microneedling allows for a controlled jumpstart of the skin’s self-repair process by creating precisely targeted micro-injuries in the skin, which triggers new collagen synthesis without causing any scar tissue to form.

  • The great thing about the Rejuvapen NXT is that it can be used on various skin types and can be used to treat a wide range of problems such as acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Candidates will not be considered for Rejuvapen NXT microneedling if they:

    • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

    • Have scars less than six months old

    • Have eczema or psoriasis

    • Have had spa treatments in the last twenty-four hours

    • Received Botox injections in the last week

    • Have received fillers, chemical peels, or laser treatments within the last month

    • Have been tanning or exposed to excess sunlight within the last twenty-four hours

    • Have been taking retinoid products

    • Have been taking high-dose NSAIDs

  • Yes. Advanced Microneedling is a safe and minimally invasive procedure suitable for most skin types. At Eden Skin & Laser Clinic, we use sterile, single-use needle cartridges for every client to ensure the highest hygiene standards. Because the treatment does not use heat or chemicals, it carries a lower risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation compared to some laser treatments.

  • Comfort is a priority at Eden Skin & Laser Clinic. We typically apply a high-strength topical anaesthetic cream to the area 30 minutes before the procedure, making the treatment very well tolerated. Most clients describe the sensation as a light, vibrating prickling feeling.

  • You may notice a "glow" within a few days; however, because the treatment relies on the body’s natural production of collagen, the most significant results appear after 2 to 4 weeks. For optimal results—especially for scarring or deep wrinkles—we usually recommend a course of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.

  • The downtime is relatively short. Immediately after the treatment, your skin will appear flushed or red, similar to a moderate sunburn. This typically subsides within 24 to 48 hours. Most clients find they can return to work the following day with the help of a light, mineral-based camouflage or tinted SPF.

    • Cleanliness: Avoid touching the treated area for at least 6 hours; use a clean pillowcase that night.

    • Sun Protection: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF daily; your skin will be highly sensitive to UV for several days.

    • Gentle Routine: Use only a mild cleanser and the recommended soothing serums for the first 3 days.

    • Avoid Actives: Do not use Retinol, Vitamin C, or exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs) for 5 to 7 days.

    • No Heat: Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and strenuous exercise for 48 hours.

    • Makeup: Avoid applying traditional makeup for at least 24 hours to prevent irritation or infection.
